Dr. José Samuel Gaete

Licenciado en Química y Título de Químico de la Universidad de Chile. Doctor en Química, Universidad de Chile. Ha realizado estadías de investigación en la Universidad de Nottingham, Nottingham, UK. Fue investigador postdoctoral en la Universidad Bernardo O´Higgins, bajo la tutela del Dr. Gabriel Abarca Anjarí. Actualmente se desempeña como académico e investigador de la Escuela de Ingeniería Civil y Ciencias Geoespaciales de la Facultad de Ingeniería, Ciencia y Tecnología y en el CIBQA, ambos de la UBO. Ha participado en proyectos nacionales como Fondecyt Postdoctorado (Investigador Responsable), Fondecyt Inicio (Inv. Responsable), Fondecyt Regular (Co-investigador) y de Anillo en Investigación en Ciencia y Tecnología (Inv. Postdoctoral).
Investigación
Sus líneas de investigación abarcan la síntesis y caracterización de nanopartículas superparamagnéticas funcionalizadas con diferentes grupos orgánicos, y su aplicación en catálisis e hidrometalurgia.
